Went in for the HSP Storm BL Truck, but I was interviewed by excellent salesman, who then suggested this.
Stoked, for the money it’s better than expected. Performs well for this level.
I took it to the old Eagles BMX track in Belmont and proceeded to bash it that arvo. Landed badly, barrel rolled it, landed sideways on edge many many times.
Alas, back wheel finally exploded and departed, no wonder. Everything has weak points, this is the one I found.
The wheels are of solid disc design, made from harder thin plastic. Already put a spare tougher back wheel on.
I definitely recommend this buggy. For the money it goes well. Power wheelied heaps of times when it hooked up.
Just don’t do heaps of 6ft jumps flat landing it on rough ground like I do, and you’ll be right ????????

Fun, fast and love the challenge of 2WD.

Have owned this buggy for three months now and have been amazed at the performance and durability. I’d say it’s been run for over 20 hours and other than cracks appearing in the plastic body shell (fixed with tape), one rear wheels that has rounded out hexes due to me not tightening the wheel nuts enough, and wearing shocks that I top up with oil after every 3 or so runs, everything else is working great.
The amazing thing that it survived last night was being driven into a dam and sitting fully submerged for 20 seconds, pulled it out and it was still running, ran out the rest of the battery and then dried it off, and it’s still going strong today. Not recommended, but I honestly assumed it was going to be junk after that.
Upgrades I’ve made more recently are better wheels and tyres (the fronts especially are hard and not very grippy) and a cheap Savox servo, both made significant performance and enjoyment improvements. I highly recommend the HSP Mongoose brushless.

Unbelievable! This car is so quick and surprisingly controllable :) It is very fun to drive. It has a very good battery, half hour of run time on full throttle! Bought it about 2.5 months ago and haven't had any major issues (except new tires). The team is a great help, I called so many times and they were always happy to help. Thanks guys!
