The Valentine was a British infantry tank that became a welcome and vital addition to the army following the evacuation from Dunkirk. Proving to be a reliable and effective design, it went on to become the most prolifically produced British tank of World War II, serving with distinction in the North African desert. Valentines were also supplied in significant numbers to the Soviet Union under the Lend-Lease program, where they were highly valued for reconnaissance roles.
This 1/35 scale kit from Tamiya is a highly realistic recreation of the Valentine Mk.II/IV, based on in-depth study of real vehicles. The model features faithfully depicted cast metal and armour plate surface textures, and includes optional parts for the British Army's desert-use side skirts. The kit is highly versatile, with three marking options to create either a British or a Red Army vehicle, and includes two crew torso figures to complete the scene.
