The Tamiya Avante Vanquish VQS is a meticulously engineered 4WD buggy that revives the spirit of the legendary 1988 Avante. This updated re-release boasts a lightweight and durable ABS plastic monocoque chassis that provides exceptional rigidity and protection for vital electronics. The shaft-driven 4WD system, combined with triple differentials (front and rear planetary gear differentials and a centre ball differential), ensures smooth and responsive handling on any terrain.
The Avante Vanquish VQS features a 4-wheel independent double wishbone suspension with adjustable camber, allowing for precise tuning to suit individual driving preferences and track conditions. The front suspension utilises aluminium uprights for added strength and precision, while universal driveshafts front and rear ensure efficient power transfer and minimal worry about parts coming loose during rigorous off-road driving. The lightweight polycarbonate body is pre-painted in black and comes pre-cut with body mount holes for easy assembly.
The lightweight monocoque bathtub frame delivers both robust protection for your RC electronics while making maintenance effortless with easy access for adjustments and repair.
Shrouded with a Carbon Fibre centre plate, the front double wishbone suspension is equipped with robust aluminium uprights and universal driveshafts offering unwavering control. A three-piece steering tie rod setup further enhances responsiveness, ensuring a durable and reliable steering experience.
Long, ball-mounted lower arms on the rear suspension provide exceptional stability. Threaded upper arms, both front and rear, allow for precise camber adjustments to optimise performance for any terrain.
The combination of lightweight 6-spoke wheels and pin spike tyres optimise both handling and speed. Narrow front wheels slice through corners, while the wider rear design digs deep for traction.
Worried about dust and grime clogging up your drivetrain? Tamiya have designed the VQS with sealed front and rear gearboxes that house compact planetary gear differentials. The same differentials which can be found in the Avante.
Unleash instant grip with the shaft-driven 4WD system, powered by a longitudinally-mounted motor. A precision ball differential in the drive gear ensures optimal power distribution and smooth cornering.
