The Velineon brushless motor and electronic speed control (ESC) deliver the ultimate in efficiency, speed, and run time. With the Slash VXL, your battery selection determines your speed and skill level. Velineon accepts a wide range of batteries, including powerful 3-cell LiPo packs. These packs pump out over 11 volts of power for intense, skill level 5 speeds beyond 65 mph! Built-in low-voltage detection in the VXL-3s™ ESC helps you maintain your LiPo packs in top condition.

Traxxas Stability Management (TSM) works behind the scenes to help prevent spin outs and loss of control on slippery surfaces. TSM senses the vehicle’s direction and makes steering corrections to provide full throttle acceleration without fishtailing or spin outs. When cornering, TSM intuitively corrects the vehicle’s line for faster exit speeds.

The radio system is the sole connection between the driver and machine. It has to be precise, comfortable, powerful, and reliable. The Traxxas® TQi™ radio system arrives with a full complement of tuning features; long-range, high-output, 2.4GHz signal, and proven Traxxas reliability for rock-solid performance.

Designed from the ground up, the new chassis features a 13.2" wheelbase while offering over 3.5 inches of ground clearance. The new chassis includes drain holes and a battery tray channel for routing servo wires to the receiver.

Slash VXL's race-ready Magnum 272R transmission is built for massive torque with high-strength steel input, idler, and differential gears and large-diameter bearings. The input gear is keyed and press fit onto the top shaft for greater precision and strength than a pin-mounted gear.

The Slash VXL's oil-filled Ultra Shocks utilise X-ring technology for a perfect seal and super-smooth performance. They are fully tunable with a wide range of oils, springs, and pistons. Features include pressure bladders for air/oil separation and spring clips to precisely change the ride height and spring pre-load. They can be renewed in minutes with our inexpensive rebuild kits.

This vehicle is equipped with a Traxxas digital high-torque, ball bearing steering servo (#2075) for responsive and precise steering control. This waterproof servo delivers unmatched torque and quick response, ensuring your buggy handles with agility and precision on any terrain.

The Slash VXL's steering bellcranks feature optimised geometry and a cam-type servo-saver to protect the servo's gears from crash damage without compromising steering precision.

Brutal brushless horsepower would stress ordinary drivetrain components to their limits, so Slash VXL steps up with extra-strong telescopic universal-joint driveshafts. The Traxxas-Tough drive line makes certain every watt of Velineon power is transformed into rocket-like thrust.

Precision rubber-sealed bearings offer the ultimate in super low-friction performance and maximum protection in dusty environments. They are used in all exposed locations on the truck and are virtually maintenance free.
