Italeri 1/72 Fiat CR 32 Freccia Scaled Plastic Model Kit

The Fiat CR 32, designed in the early 1930s, was a biplane powered by a V 12-cylinder engine producing 600 hp and reaching a top speed of 375 Km/h. This plane was celebrated for its exceptional maneuverability, reliability, and armament, including two 12.7 mm Breda-Safat machine guns located on top of the engine, firing through the propeller disc. The CR 32 saw action with the Legionary Air Forces during the Spanish Civil War and proved superior to Soviet-made monoplane fighters like the Polikarpov I-16, thanks to the extraordinary mobility and training of its pilots. Even modern planes like the Tupolev SB-2 bomber were not immune to its agility.
