Tamiya 1/10 CC-02 Mercedes Benz Unimog 406 Series U900 Electric Off Road RC Rock Crawler Kit

The multi-purpose Mercedes-Benz Unimog is a truck with unrivalled off-road performance and its name is an acronym which stands for the German description "Universal-Motor-Gerät." The 406, which also has the ability to equip any of approximately 3,000 attachments for every imaginable task, now is depicted on the proven Tamiya CC-02 chassis.

CC-02 Chassis - Off Road, Evolved

Designed for a wide range of off-road scenes including rocky terrain, the CC-02 chassis' ladder frame is inspired by full-size vehicles and is the base for its superior durability. A 4WD setup employs the motor longitudinally behind the front axle with separated gearbox and transfer case, and propeller shafts transmitting power to the differential gears front and rear. Four-link rigid suspension is employed front and rear, with CVA oil dampers for all-encompassing control, even on tricky rock sections. This model comes with red wheels and grippy block pattern tyres.

The boxy, utilitarian design is captured in style by a polycarbonate body and separate lower sections.

A metal-plated grille ensures that the front of the body also has a highly realistic appearance.

Separately moulded parts are employed to depict side mirrors and distinctive stalks, plus air intake.

The ladder frame is modelled upon those employed by full-size cars, and offers excellent rigidity on this 1/10 scale vehicle.

The motor is mounted in the chassis front-middle; power goes via gearbox and propeller shafts to front and rear axles.

Metal chassis frame sections facilitate exemplary durability, while CVA oil dampers ensure maximum off-road performance.

Axle housings are moulded in reinforced plastic, and house 3-bevel differentials. They can be locked when running on lower-grip surfaces.
