Tamiya 1/10 MF-01X Volkswagen Golf MK2 GTI Electric RC Rally Car Kit w/o ESC

Tamiya has accurately replicated the 1980's Volkswagen MK2 GTI 16V, which was a popular hot hatchback during the decade, as a rally car for A7 class competition. The body of the car is built on the versatile MF-01 chassis, which is suitable for both asphalt and flat dirt terrain.

MF-01X Chassis

This compact 4WD chassis is built around a durable monocoque frame with integrated gearboxes. Its rear-mounted motor, gear-driven rear wheels, and propeller shaft make it perfect for driving on both flat dirt surfaces and roads. The front and rear gearboxes feature differential gears. The chassis has excellent balance due to the centrally located battery pack, and the 4-wheel independent double wishbone suspension is equipped with friction dampers. It also features off-road capable M-05Ra chassis uprights and hub carriers.

The MF-01X chassis offers three different wheelbases

Power from the rear-mounted motor is provided by gear to the rear diff, and propeller shaft to the front

4-wheel independent double wishbone suspension is cushioned by friction shocks

The monocoque frame is divided into 3 pieces. Change the central spacer block and fit a separately-sold prop shaft for S (210mm), M (225mm) or L (239mm) wheelbases
