Tamiya 1/35 Russian KV-2 Tank Scaled Plastic Model Kit

This 1/35 scale assembly kit recreates the Russian Heavy Tank KV-2, a heavier variant of the KV-1. The Russian Heavy Tank KV-2 was developed and produced at the same time as the KV-1 chassis, but it incorporated a massive, boxy turret equipped with a 152mm howitzer. Although its weight caused frequent machinery failure during the early part of the German-Soviet War from June, 1941, it's also recorded that one KV-2 single-handedly held up one German division, for a few days. The KV-2 concept also played a role in the development of heavy self-propelled guns such as the JSU-152.

This model captures the mammoth KV-2 form in style, from the tall, boxy turret to realistic surface textures and detailing.

A marking option is included to recreate a KV-2 captured by the German Wehrmacht and given a winter camouflage makeover.

This image shows the massive 152mm gun, which includes rifling detail in the muzzle section for that extra layer of realism.

The rough cast surfaces of the armour are captured in style. Mesh sections of the external air intake are recreated with fine moulding.

Depictions of the wide KV-2 tracks utilise single-piece straight sections and give a realistic rendering of upper run 'sag.'

This kit comes with two figures: a full body commander and a crew torso; use them to add yet more life to your finished masterpiece.
