The X4'24 boasts a range of innovative upgrades, including redesigned suspension arms with relocated shock positions that enhance lower arm flexibility and minimise torsion under load. Inner shock placements optimise weight distribution by bringing the shocks closer to the vehicle's midline, while lower arms incorporate under-arm anti-roll bar mounts, lowering the shock height by 4.5mm to achieve and ultra-low centre of gravity. Upper arms are skilfully contoured to provide clearance around the new shock positions while maintaining proper suspension geometry and rigidity.
Further enhancements include front and rear shock mounts with shims for precise shock position adjustments, offering three distinct shock mount options for chassis flex variations. The rear shock mount configurations provide two damping choices in one mount, and a simplified shock absorber installation employs a fixed set screw to secure the threaded shock mount stud. A narrower chassis design reduces cornering drag, while additional material in the central motor area enhances durability. The updated chassis layout aligns with the new lower arms, shock mounts, and motor mount attachment points, moving battery holder mounting points closer to the centre-line to reduce chassis width. These improvements, along with increased motor mount clearance for ESC wiring and lower bulkhead anti-roll bar locations, collectively enhance performance and ease of maintenance.
