Deans T plug (on wire)
Hot glue gun
Heat gun
Shrink wrap
Save your Deans Ultra 'T' Connectors Using This Trick
Deans plugs are great connectors and have been one of the most popular hobby connectors worldwide for a long time. Deans plugs can have quite a tight/firm fit, which causes a substantial amount of load/stress on the wires, especially for smaller wires.
What You'll Need
Step 1
Apply hot glue - Don't over do it, the shrink wrap won't go over if there's too much hot glue.
Step 2
Wait a minute to allow the hot glue to cool.
Step 3
Slide the shrink wrap over the whole plug until it's flush with the end of the deans plug.
Step 4
Heat with a heat gun, you should see the shrink wrap mould the hot glue inside, leaving a nice smooth finish.
Finished 👏
Never break your wires again! Pull as hard as you like :)
