The Sidewinder 4 builds upon Castle's most popular platform, the Sidewinder 1:10 Scale Series, and is the first of its kind to run Castle's CRYO-DRIVE™ technology. CRYO-DRIVE™ combines cutting-edge hardware and software advancements to increase thermal performance — cooler temps mean longer runs and more power.

The Sidewinder 4 is a versatile ESC accepted in a wide variety of applications, whether throwing dirt, ripping through a corner, or steadily dominating the trails. This combo includes a Sidewinder 4 ESC and a 1410-3800Kv 5mm sensored motor. The 1410-3800Kv 5mm motor is ideal for short course trucks running on 2S LiPo and weighing up to 6.5 lbs; it can be run on a 3S LiPo with very conservative gearing. It is a cool-running torque motor for lighter 1/10th scale 2WD stadium trucks and buggies running up to 3S LiPo.

Castle Creations warrants this ESC for one (1) year from date of purchase against manufacturing and component defects. Warranty does not cover damages from abuse including incorrect wiring, over-voltage, overloading, improper gearing, improper motor selection, incorrect controller settings, insufficient batteries, or inadequate connectors. Products used in drag and speed run applications are not covered by this warranty.

Sensored capabilities of the motor cannot be utilized with the Sidewinder 4. If you require sensored operation you will need a sensored ESC such as the Mamba X.

Not intended for operation while submerged in liquid. If the unit is operated in wet conditions, rinse with fresh water to remove dirt or corrosives, then fully dry unit.

Monitor motor temperatures closely; overheating a motor will cause permanent damage to the magnets. Never exceed 180°F on the motor or ESC. Routine maintenance is recommended after running in wet conditions.
