HMS Repulse was a renowned British battlecruiser, famous for her elegant lines and high speed. A veteran of World War I, she was extensively modernised and went on to serve in the early years of World War II, participating in the hunt for the Bismarck. Her career came to a tragic end in the Far East on December 10, 1941, when she was sunk alongside HMS Prince of Wales by Japanese air attack, a pivotal moment in the Pacific War.
