KV means RPM per volt (with no load). It's sometimes wrongly confused with Kilovolts (1000 volts).
- Higher the KV = more RPM but less torque.
- Lower the KV = less RPM but more torque.
Example, a 3300KV motor with an 11.1v battery at full throttle it should spin at about 36,630RPM (3300 x 11.1) with no load.
