With its powerful 440 cu. in. engine, the 1968 Dodge Dart was one of the hottest cars of the year. Even hotter was a limited-run GTS Hardtop version equipped with a 426 cu. in. HEMI engine. This version was intended for use in supervised acceleration trials, not general highway use.
