FAQs for RC Motors

KV is RPM per volt with no load. A 3300KV motor on 2S (7.4V) spins at roughly 24,400 RPM unloaded. Higher KV = more top speed, less torque. Lower KV = more torque, better for crawlers and heavy vehicles.

Brushless motors are more powerful, more efficient, run cooler and last longer. Brushed are cheaper and simpler. If your car came with brushed and you want more speed, a brushless swap is one of the best upgrades you can do.

Motor size is given as a diameter (540, 3650, 4274 etc). Match it to your car's motor mount. For 1/10 cars, 540-size (3650) is standard. For 1/8, go 4274 or 4268. Check your car's manual for the recommended can size.
