Electric RC Cars
FAQs for Electric RC Cars
Stock RTR electric cars typically do 30-60km/h. Brushless upgrades push many into the 80-100km/h range. Purpose-built speed-run cars can break 160km/h. Speed depends on the motor KV, gearing, battery voltage and body shape.
Brushless. It's faster, more efficient and lasts way longer. If your budget only stretches to a brushed RTR, that's fine to start — you can upgrade later. But if you can afford brushless from day one, go for it.
At least two. A typical LiPo gives 15-25 minutes of runtime. With two batteries and a charger, you can rotate — drive one while the other charges. For a full afternoon, three or four is ideal.
