FAQs for RC Rock Crawlers - Find Your Next RC Crawler

Depends on your budget. Under $200, the WPL and MN Model range is hard to beat for value. Mid-range, FMS and RGT crawlers are solid performers. At the top end, Traxxas TRX-4 and Element RC are the gold standard for trail and comp crawling.

1/10 is the most popular — big parts selection, realistic size and the best aftermarket support. 1/18 and 1/24 are great for indoor crawling or tight spaces. 1/6 crawlers exist but they're big, heavy and expensive.

Crawlers are one of the best ways into the hobby. They're slow, so crashes are rare and parts last much longer. The driving is about picking lines, throttle control and patience — totally different to speed-focused RC.

Not fast — that's the point. Most top out around 5-15km/h. They're built for low-speed technical terrain like rocks, logs and steep hills. If you want speed, look at a basher or buggy instead.
