Yes. Most modern 2.4GHz transmitters bind to multiple receivers — just put a receiver in each car and bind them all to the same radio. Some transmitters store 10+ model profiles so you can switch between cars instantly.
Cars and boats need at least 2 (steering + throttle). Extras like lights, winch or diff locks need 3-4+ channels. Planes typically need 4-6. Buy more than you need now — it gives you room for future upgrades.
Modern 2.4GHz radios reach 200-500+ metres depending on the model. For cars and boats, you'll never outrun the signal. For planes and drones, higher-end radios with external antennas extend range further.
It depends on the brand. Standalone Spektrum transmitters (NX and iX series) can be software-switched between Mode 1 and Mode 2. RTF aircraft transmitters and brands like BetaFPV and FMS have separate Mode 1 and Mode 2 SKUs that can't be switched. The product listing will specify the mode. If you're not sure, get in touch before ordering and we'll confirm.
