The Futaba 4PM Plus is a 2.4 GHz 4-channel radio system using the T-FHSS SR Super Response protocol for maximum precision and response. The system includes two R334SBS receivers and supports telemetry, S.Bus servos, and a wide range of advanced mixing functions suited to cars, crawlers, and large-scale gas vehicles.
- T-FHSS SR (Super Response): Increased processing speed for improved response over standard T-FHSS. SR mode does not support telemetry. (Note: R304SB and R304SB-E are not compatible with SR system.)
- T-FHSS MiniZ System: Switch to MiniZ mode in the receiver setting menu to use Kyosho Mini-Z Evo dedicated receiver RA-42 (sold separately).
- FHSS MiniZ System: Switch to MI-FH mode to use Kyosho Mini-Z FH FS-RM005 module for non-Evo Mini-Z vehicles.
- Telemetry System: Bidirectional communication via T-FHSS for real-time data feedback.
- 2.4 GHz Spread-Spectrum Radio: No frequency channel setting required — channel shifting within the 2.4 GHz band is automatic, minimising interference.
- 40-Model Memory: Model names support up to 10 characters. Use the model copy function to create multiple setups.
- 4-Axis Jog Button: Operates up, down, left, and right.
- ESC-Link Function (MC-Link): Set up Futaba ESCs (MC970CR, MC850C, MC851C, MC602C, MC402CR, etc.) directly from the transmitter.
- S.Bus Servo Setup: Configure S.Bus servo parameters wirelessly in combination with R334SBS or R334SBS-E.
- Steering Mixing: Independent left and right steering servo settings for smooth cornering.
- Brake Mixing (BRAKE): Independent front and rear brake mixing for 1/5-scale gas cars and other large vehicles.
- Gyro Mixing (GYRO MIX): Adjust sensitivity of Futaba car rate gyros from the transmitter.
- 4WS Mixing: Compatible with crawlers and other 4-wheel-steering vehicles.
- Dual ESC Mixing: Independent front and rear ESC control for crawlers.
- CPS-1 Mixing: Match LED lighting and flashing control to steering and throttle via switch.
- Anti-Skid Braking System (TH ABS): Prevents tyre lockup under braking for gas-powered cars.
- Throttle Acceleration (ACCEL): Reduces clutch and brake time lag on gas-powered vehicles.
- Throttle Speed (SPEED): Smooths trigger response on slippery surfaces and reduces battery consumption.
- Steering Speed (SPEED): Adjust maximum servo operating speed to reduce overly fast steering response.
- Racing Timer (TIMER): Records up to 100 lap times and total race time. Automatic start via trigger. Audible refuelling alarm and up-timer included.
- Function Select Switch / Trim Dial: Assigns functions to 2 switches and dials (digital trim, digital dial) with adjustable step amount and direction. All dials are digital — no trim repositioning needed on model recall.
- Adjustable Trigger Position: Throttle trigger position can be moved forward and backward.
- Spring Tension Adjustment: Steering wheel and throttle trigger spring tension adjustable externally.
- Mechanical ATL Adjustment: Reduces total travel of the brake (push) side of the throttle trigger.
