Losi and Kyosho lead our RC motorbike range, built around two different ways to ride. Losi's Promoto-MX and Promoto-SM are ready-to-run, using a gyroscopic flywheel spinning at over 22,000rpm to keep them upright through real lean-and-turn cornering. Kyosho's 1/8 scale Hanging-On kits take the build-it-yourself route, recreating racers like the Honda NSR500 and Yamaha YZR500 in genuine hang-off-the-bike racing style.
Whichever you choose, we stock genuine spare parts for both ranges — tyres, bearings, brake rotors and bodywork — so a crash doesn't mean the end of the ride.
FAQs for RC Motorcycles
Most use a gyroscope to stay upright — similar to how a drone stabilises itself. Some use a flywheel. You steer and throttle like a car; the bike handles the balancing. It works surprisingly well.
A little harder than an RC car, since balance is a real factor cars don't have — but easier than you'd expect thanks to the gyro. Straight lines and gentle turns work from the first run; tight turns at speed take practice. Our ready-to-run Losi models are the more forgiving starting point, while Kyosho's kit-built range suits hobbyists who already want to build their own.
