This body shell comes completely UNPAINTED and may require body post holes to be drilled. Only use a polycarbonate style paint such as The Tamiya PS series to finish these bodies, as standard paints will not adhere and/or cause damage to the body shell's surface. If you require paint, we recommend the polycarbonate safe paints.
This R/C model assembly kit recreates a rock crawling vehicle like those seen in popular U.S. events where the massive machines vie for time or crawling ability over impossible-looking obstacles. The lightweight yet tough polycarbonate racing truck body comes with a host of marking stickers for decoration. The tough CR-01 chassis features durable ladder frames with aluminium side channels and resin cross members, as well as 4-link rigid suspension with oil dampers and progressive springs. The motor is placed in a central position, with planetary gears enabling low-speed shaft-driven 4WD. Front and rear differentials can be locked. Large-diameter tires feature a tread pattern which extends to the sidewalls, and are fitted to beadlock wheels.
The CR-01's highly rigid ladder frame, constructed with aluminium side members and plastic cross members, provides exceptional strength and torsional rigidity for tackling the toughest terrain.
The CR-01's compact planetary gear transfer case delivers smooth and efficient power distribution to all four wheels. Its high reduction ratio and low-mounted battery contribute to a low centre of gravity, enhancing stability and climbing ability.
Experience unrestricted suspension movement with the CR-01's innovative steering servo placement. Mounted directly to the axle, the servo avoids interference with suspension components, maximising articulation and climbing capability.
The CR-01's oil filled shock absorbers, operated by a push rod and rocker arm system, provide smooth and responsive damping action. The unique coil spring setup, mounted separately from the damper, enhances articulation and traction by extending when the vehicle rolls.
The CR-01's 4-link suspension delivers exceptional off-road capability. With incredible articulation and stabilisers on both axles, this system maximises tire contact with the ground, providing tenacious traction and stability on even the most challenging surfaces.
The CR-01 comes equipped with locked front and rear 3-bevel differentials, providing maximum traction for conquering challenging rock crawling obstacles.
