Tamiya 1/10 The Frog 2WD Electric Off Road RC Buggy Kit w/o ESC

First introduced in 1983, the Buggy Frog made a huge splash with its eye-catching design and high-performance running. The Frog is making a comeback and is updated for a new age while keeping its basic structure true to the original. Preserving its characteristic space frame, its oil-filled shocks have been upgraded to a diaphragm design. The rear shaft features dog-bone type joints for a smoother transmission of power. The classic polycarbonate body remains unchanged while 3-piece rims come with front grooved, and rear spike tyres for excellent off road running.

2WD Chassis Packed with Innovation

The Frog features an ABS space frame with a bumper for light-weight, yet rugged form that is perfect for off road racing. The battery is held in an ultra-low position, giving the buggy a low centre of gravity and excellent stability on tough terrain and wild jumps. Advanced 4-wheel independent suspension composed with front double-wishbones features an in-board spring & durable steel arm. The rear trailing arm features horizontally mounted aluminium oil-filled shocks for effective absorption of rough terrain. The sealed differential gearbox ensures high speed cornering, while full ball-bearings and a 3-step gear ratio provides maximum drivetrain efficiency.

Front double-wishbone suspension with a radius arm made of steel and a rod with a built-in spring in the bulkhead to increase rigidity.

Equipped with a differential gear inside the sealed gear case, 3 types of gear ratios can be selected. In addition, the drive shaft adopts a dog-bone type with joint boots.

The trailing arm type rear suspension is equipped with an aluminium oil-filled Shock. In addition, a heavy running battery is mounted at the lowest position of the frame to lower the centre of gravity.
