FAQs for Exway Electric Skateboards
Is Exway a good electric skateboard brand for beginners?
Exway is a well-regarded e-skate brand known for models like the X1 Smart Electric Skateboard, aimed at riders who want commuter-friendly range and remote control without moving to a full off-road build. They suit confident skaters rather than complete beginners, because even moderate e-skate speeds demand decent balance and technique. If you've ridden a longboard before, an Exway is a natural electric upgrade. For Australian riders, availability changes, so it's worth checking current stock before committing to a specific model.
What makes Exway stand out in the electric skateboard market?
Exway's reputation is built on integrating the motor, battery and electronics into clean hub-motor and belt-drive decks, with ride apps that let you tune acceleration and braking. The X1 Smart Electric Skateboard is a good example of that approach, combining commuter-friendly form factor with controlled power delivery. Compared to more generic e-skate brands, Exway invests more in refinement rather than raw top speed. Because e-skate regulations vary across Australian states, we always recommend checking local road rules before riding anywhere beyond private property.
Can I order Exway boards in Australia?
The X1 Smart Electric Skateboard currently shows as disabled on our site, which means we aren't actively listing it for direct purchase in Australia right now. Electric skateboard supply, shipping restrictions on larger batteries and brand distribution all play into what's realistically available at any given time. If you're set on an Exway, get in touch and we'll tell you honestly whether it can be sourced, how long it might take, or whether a different in-stock brand would be a more practical option for an Australian rider.
Which Exway model is the most popular?
The Exway X1 Smart Electric Skateboard has historically been the most recognised model, thanks to its compact format and commuter-friendly ride profile. It's currently disabled in our Australian catalogue, so we can't point to active stock. Rather than guess at restocking, we'd suggest contacting our team with what you want the board for, such as commuting, campus riding or weekend cruising. We can then be straight about whether Exway is a realistic option right now, or whether another e-skate brand would get you rolling sooner.
