When looking for the best RC car brand to buy you might be a bit confused as like many industries there are many brands out there! Let's get right to the top ten RC brands in Australia and why.
- Traxxas
- Traxxas has been the leading RC brand in Australia (and most likely the world) for years. They are the innovators and produce mid to high-end RC cars that everyone can enjoy!
- Arrma
- Arrma quickly grew into one of the largest RC car manufacturers in the world and for good reason, their cars are amazing! Unfortunately, in March 2018 their parent company (Hobbico) went bankrupt but now have been bought out by a large hobby company called Horizon Hobby which will be sure to take care of the brand and continue to bring out new great RC trucks for the exciting years to come.
- Axial
- Well known for their scale RC rock crawlers they are the best in their niche.
- HSP
- HSP are incredibly popular due to their amazing value for money and a fantastic range of beginner RC trucks and cars.
- HPI
- Was right near the top with Traxxas years ago but HPI Racing went into administration a few years ago and have struggled to recover so although their cars are awesome, it has taken some time to get their parts-support back up to speed (still happening) so hence why they take 5th place.
- Xinlehong
- Incredibly strong and affordable range of RC trucks. We have been amazed by the value for money and performance of their RC trucks. However, as they have a select range they take 6th place.
- Rovan
- Rovan Sports is a company that's well known for their clone of the HPI Baja 5B which have been incredibly popular. From there they have cloned the Losi 5IVE-T along with a few other models. Recently, we have noticed Rovan have been innovating and designing more and more of their products themselves rather than cloning other brand's hard work.
- Losi
- Although they make a vast range of RC trucks and buggies Losi is well known for the Losi 5IVE-T and DBXL (now available in electric) which is raced all around the world.
- Tamiya
- What a classic! Tamiya established in 1946 and started producing RC cars in 1976 and was insanely popular. Although Tamiya specialises in plastic models, they still sell their classic line-up of RC trucks.
- TLR
- Team Losi Racing make some of the worlds best RC cars specifically for racing. However, you won't find many TLR cars at your local BMX track.
