Academy da Vinci Series Rolling Ball Timer Edukit Scaled Plastic Model Kit
Da Vinci's Rolling Ball Timer.
Based on a sketch of an escapement mechanism drawn by Leonardo da Vinci, it uses the laws of motion, gravity and kineticism to measure the passage of time.
"Leonardo from Vinci", born April 15, 1452, was an Italian painter, draftsman, sculptor, architect & engineer who epitomised the cultural exploration and innovativeness of the Renaissance period. While most known for his paintings such as The Last Supper (1495-98) & Mona Lisa (1503-19), he was also an inventor and mechanical engineer with inventions utilising modern science and technology centuries ahead of their time.
