How To: Make an RC Car Jump in Under 5 Minutes!
In this article, I'm going to show you how to make an RC car jump from basic household items. Although this ramp is very simple, it is loads of fun!
Well, let's jump into it shall we?
- A box, I found one laying around that was 28x40x55cm, but you can go smaller or larger depending on what RC car you have. Also, the thicker the cardboard the better.
- Packing tape, although I didn't need any making this, it would be handy to have just in case.
- A sharp knife.
- A marker.
Using your marker, mark out where you'll need to cut. I found cutting as shown just right for my 1/10 electric buggy, and I'll also end up with two jumps from one box! Feel free to experiment on how you cut it out to achieve more height or distance with your model.
Using your knife, cut out your boxes along the lines you marked out. Please be very careful doing this as you can easily cut yourself if you slip!

You should end up with something like this.
Surprisingly, I didn't need a weight to stop the box from moving. Although, if that's a problem, you could use a rock or a brick in front of it to prevent it from moving. Changing the box size and how you cut it out can make a big difference on how well it works with your RC car. Test it, modify it, and most importantly, have fun with it!
