The Sd.Kfz.222 was a fast and effective 4x4 armoured car used extensively by German reconnaissance units in World War II. Its combination of a 20mm cannon, all-wheel drive, and high road speed made it an ideal scout, and it saw widespread service with Rommel's famous Afrika Korps in the North African desert.
