FAQs for Sanwa RC Transmitters & Receivers
Who is Sanwa RC gear designed for?
Sanwa is a premium Japanese radio brand aimed at racers and serious hobbyists who want top-tier transmitter, receiver and servo performance. The gear suits on-road and off-road racers competing at club and national level, drift drivers chasing precise steering feel, and bashers who simply want long-term reliability from their radio system. Sanwa is generally a step up in price from entry-level radios, so it is most worthwhile for drivers who will appreciate the response, range and programming flexibility of a competition-grade Japanese system.
What makes Sanwa transmitters and servos different?
Sanwa is a long-established Japanese RC brand with a strong racing heritage. Their transmitters are known for crisp response, refined ergonomics and deep programming options, while Sanwa servos are widely used in competition for their speed, torque consistency and durability. The receiver range, including waterproof and standard variants, gives racers and bashers flexibility for different chassis and conditions. The result is a coherent ecosystem where transmitter, receiver and servo are designed to work together rather than as separately sourced parts.
Can I get Sanwa receivers and servos in Australia?
Yes. We currently stock four Sanwa items in our Australian warehouse, including the RX371WP and RX482 receivers along with the MX-S and MX-V transmitter platforms. Because the global Sanwa range is broad and includes many servo and module variants, not every part will be on the shelf at any given time. If you need a specific Sanwa receiver, servo or accessory for your race build, contact our team in Australia and we will let you know what we can source through our distribution channels.
Which Sanwa products do you currently carry?
Our current Sanwa selection includes the RX371WP waterproof receiver, the RX482 receiver, and transmitters from the MX-S and MX-V families. The waterproof RX371WP is a popular pairing with bash trucks and crawlers that see wet conditions, while the RX482 is a familiar choice for touring car and buggy racers. Because Sanwa transmitters bind to specific receiver protocols, always check protocol compatibility (FH4, FH5 etc) before ordering a new receiver to add to an existing radio.
