The Lockheed F-104 Starfighter, famously nicknamed the "Missile with a Man in It," was a high-performance supersonic interceptor aircraft. The F-104C was a fighter-bomber variant developed for the USAF's Tactical Air Command and saw service during the Vietnam War, primarily in the air superiority and ground attack roles.
