Airfix 1/72 Supermarine Spitfire MK.VC Fighter Scaled Plastic Model Kit

As an icon of the aviation world, the Supermarine Spitfire underwent continuous evolution throughout WWII, with new iterations of this fighter never too distant from joining RAF squadrons. The aircraft that played a pivotal role in the Battle of Britain had plans for significant upgrades in the pipeline. However, during its development phase, the Luftwaffe introduced their latest Bf 109 fighter variant, which began downing Spitfires in significant numbers, necessitating immediate action.

The Spitfire Mk.V represented a substantial improvement over the Mk.II airframe, boasting the latest Merlin engine iteration. This enhancement provided the aircraft with superior high-altitude performance. Ultimately, this variant would become the standard for over 140 RAF Squadrons.

Now, Airfix have recreated this historical aircraft in 1/72 scale ready for you to build and display.
