The Heng Long German Leopard 2 A5 comes with everything it needs except three AA batteries for the transmitter. A charger and a hefty 1800mAh Li-ion battery on a Tamiya connector are in the box, giving this 1/24 scale RC Tank plenty of time on the battlefield between charges. Twin 380 sized motors, run by a dependable V5 multi-function unit, push it along on soft rubber tracks that hold on to timber, tiles and lawn. Independent torsion bar suspension lets each road wheel ride over rugs and door sills on its own, and gradients of up to 35 degrees are no trouble.

Every move starts at the transmitter. Raise or drop the main gun through 20 degrees and swing the turret through 320 degrees to track a rival. When you fire the cannon, the hull jolts back from the recoil. A full working sound system runs through engine start-up, running and turn-off sounds plus machine gun and cannon fire, and the volume can be set from the transmitter as well. Front and rear LEDs keep the tank easy to spot in dim rooms. The infrared battle system takes on other compatible tanks, and its LED hit marking leaves no doubt about who landed the shot.
