Overview

The AMX "Ghibli" is a single-engine ground-attack aircraft that resulted from a collaboration between the Italian and Brazilian aeronautical industries in the 1980s. The project's goal was to replace ageing aircraft like the Fiat G-91Y and MB-326. Powered by a Rolls-Royce Spey engine, the AMX can reach speeds of over 1,000 km/h and is armed with a 20 mm M61 Vulcan cannon, with the ability to carry a 3,800 kg offensive payload. The Ghibli has been deployed in several operational theatres, including Afghanistan and Libya, for advanced reconnaissance and close tactical support missions.

This 1/72 scale kit from Italeri is a highly detailed representation of the Ghibli, based on 100% new moulds. The kit includes premium features such as photo-etched parts and a large, high-quality decal sheet, making it a comprehensive project for enthusiasts of modern military jets.
