The 1977 DRM witnessed the arrival of a formidable force: the Toyota Celica LB Turbo. This Group 5 beast, built upon the Celica Liftback 2000GT, was a marvel of engineering. Its sleek, lightweight body, boasting aerodynamic features like bulging fenders and a rear wing, housed a modified Schnitzer-developed 2,090cc inline-4 DOHC engine, unleashing a monstrous 560 horsepower. Debuting in July 1977, the Celica LB Turbo quickly made its mark. In October, it roared to victory, conquering the legendary Porsche 935 and etching its name in racing history. Now Tamiya have faithfully recreated this spectacular piece of motor racing history in 1/20 scale ready for you to assemble and proudly display.
