Debuting in 1981, the Toyota Soarer was Toyota's first personal luxury car and a pioneer of the brand's luxury vehicles. The VR-Turbo grade featured a potent two-litre inline-six turbo engine and was packed with advanced electronics for its time, including a digital dashboard. Its combination of a stylish "long nose, short deck" form and high-tech features made it one of the most prominent Japanese luxury cars of the 1980s.
