  • 1/35-scale Tamiya plastic model kit of the Russian Heavy Tank KV-2
  • Massive box-type turret with 152mm howitzer — armour plate and weld lines authentically depicted
  • Assembly-type tracks recreate upper run sag; open or closed hatch options
  • Two marking options including a Wehrmacht winter camouflage scheme
  • Includes commander full figure and crew torso figure

Overview

This 1/35 scale assembly kit recreates the Russian Heavy Tank KV-2, a heavier variant of the KV-1 that incorporated a massive, boxy turret equipped with a 152mm howitzer. Although its weight caused frequent mechanical failures in the early part of the German-Soviet War from June 1941, one KV-2 is recorded to have single-handedly held up an entire German division for several days. The KV-2 concept also played a role in the development of heavy self-propelled guns such as the JSU-152.

This model captures the mammoth KV-2 form in style, from the tall boxy turret to realistic surface textures and detailed armour plating. A marking option is included to recreate a KV-2 captured by the German Wehrmacht with a winter camouflage scheme. Two figures are included: a full-body commander and a crew torso.
