Overview

Tamiya Diorama Texture Paint (Grit Effect, Light Sand) is a water-based, paste-like texture paint formulated to recreate sandy desert surfaces on diorama bases. The colour and texture are inspired by the desert terrain of Iraq and Afghanistan. Coloured ceramic particles are blended into the formula to produce an authentic gritty, sandy appearance once applied and dried.

The paint can be shaped and sculpted with a spatula while still wet, allowing modellers to build up naturalistic ground textures. It is compatible with Tamiya acrylic paints, which can be mixed in to adjust the colour tone. Not suitable for use with an airbrush — apply with a spatula or stiff old brush.
