When airbrushing, make sure to use one of the following Tamiya thinners:

Tamiya acrylic paints can be used on styrene resins, Styrofoam, wood, and all common model plastics. When airbrushing, use any of the following Tamiya thinners: 81020, 81030, 81040, 81520, 87077. X designated colours have a glossy finish; XF designated colours are flat finish. The paint can be thinned for airbrushing using Tamiya X-20A Acrylic thinner or Tamiya Lacquer Thinner — Lacquer Thinner yields faster drying results and a harder finish. For better brush painting results, use Tamiya Paint Retarder (87114) for a smoother, brushstroke-free finish.
