what is it like made out of and how much does it way

Hi Jack, These covers are moulded from Traxxas's own polymer blend (a fancy word for plastic).
Packaged together, the set clocks in at around 10 grams on our scales. Once out of the packaging, you can expect the actual covers to weigh about a third less.
Hope this takes some weight off your mind.
