Built Traxxas tough from the ground up with a thick 1.5 mm steel ladder frame and moulded cross members for exceptional torsional rigidity. This extremely rigid backbone, combined with tough 5 mm diameter steel links and heavy-duty, extra-wide rod ends with steel hollow balls, ensures extreme durability on the most challenging trails you can find.

Innovative shock towers allow four separate bolt-on wheelbase positions: 300 mm (11.8"), 312 mm (12.3"), 324 mm (12.8"), and 336 mm (13.2") to accommodate custom bodies. The hinged battery strap adjusts for different height batteries, providing quick, secure mounting for various LiPo options without pins to lose.

Scale silver-anodised aluminium GTS oil-filled coil-over shocks deliver silky-smooth damping with threaded bodies for easy ride height adjustment and robust O-ring and X-ring seals. Tough floor pans protect electronics and enhance scale appearance. Moulded wire retainers in the frame rails provide a clean look and secure wiring.

Portal axles lift the differential pumpkin to provide incredible ground clearance and improve axle geometry. This radical design also reduces the gear ratio at the wheels, virtually eliminating torque twist for smooth forward motion instead of frame twisting. Steel gears ensure trouble-free performance on technical climbs.

Full-time locked front and rear differentials deliver unstoppable climbing action. With no slippage possible, all four wheels claw with equal traction, powering the lightweight Sport over the toughest obstacles. The single-speed transmission is geared low for raw torque, featuring Traxxas-Tough steel gears for durability.

Hardened steel U-joints on the front and rear driveshafts provide smooth, reliable power delivery for non-stop fun. A twin friction plate slipper clutch offers some additional protection from motor stalls in extreme crawling conditions. Black sealed ball bearings resist mud and dirt to keep your rig rolling smoothly on the trail.

TRX-4’s portal axles raise the driveshafts, suspension links, steering link, and drag link up and out of harm’s way. This significantly improves axle geometry and reduces critical driveshaft and suspension link angles. Higher components pass over obstacles to avoid high-centreing and reduce wear.

Attack steep terrain with extreme approach angles: a massive 58.82° front and 45.83° rear. The superior 45° steering angle negotiates around even the tightest bends with ease. This geometry provides unmatched capability for climbing obstacles head on and navigating technical spaces effortlessly.

Portal axles help raise the centre ground clearance to an unparalleled 80 mm (3.14"), while raised suspension links and driveshafts clear the rocks underneath. The front-mounted 550 size motor biases weight forward for improved traction and superior climbing ability on ascents.

The included XL-5 HV electronic speed control is compatible with high-voltage 3s LiPo battery packs for greater efficiency and power. It features standard profiles plus a Trail profile with drag brake, and a Crawl profile introducing hill hold and instant reverse for tackling extremely technical courses with ease.

Torque rules the trail with the massive Titan 21T 550 size brushed motor! It pumps out huge torque to get you up and over anything that gets in the way. An integrated cooling fan keeps temperatures down for extended run times on tough climbs and long adventures, ensuring reliable power.
