The ChTZ S-65, also known as the "Stalinets," was a Soviet heavy artillery tractor produced in vast numbers before and during World War II. Entering service in 1937, this rugged and reliable machine became the most numerous tracked tractor in the Red Army by 1941. Its primary role was to tow heavy guns and howitzers across the harsh terrain of the Eastern Front, making it an unsung but vital hero of the Soviet war effort.
