Description
The J-10AY is based on the J-10A single-seater fighter and was developed as the China Air Force 8.1 Aerobatic Performance Team aircraft, first flown in 2009. Its biggest feature is a large bubble-type canopy to ensure the pilot's good visibility. With the cannon removed, it is fitted with high-precision flight instruments and a smoke device. The tri-colour paint scheme reflects the new face of the PLAAF.
