FAQs for ECX
Yes. We do not currently stock complete ECX ready-to-run vehicles, but we do support existing ECX owners with a spares range covering the most common platforms. If your AMP Monster Truck, Ruckus or Torment needs a wheel, shock part or driveline component, our Australian stock focuses on the high-demand items owners tend to replace most. Having the model name and, where possible, the original parts diagram handy makes it much quicker to match the right spare to your vehicle.
ECX built its reputation on affordable, hobby-grade ready-to-run vehicles that gave new drivers a proper stepping stone above toy-grade RC without paying top-shelf prices. Platforms like the AMP Monster Truck, Ruckus and Torment were easy to drive, reasonably durable and, importantly, repairable with real spare parts rather than disposable toy components. That combination made ECX a common first serious RC for many Australian hobbyists, and plenty of those trucks are still running today thanks to ongoing parts support.
Our Australian parts shelf carries spares for the ECX AMP Monster Truck, Ruckus short course truck and Torment platforms, focused on high-wear items like wheels, driveshafts, shock components and body hardware. Stock depth varies by part, so if you need a specific component it is worth reaching out to confirm availability. We do not stock complete ECX RTR vehicles, but maintaining existing trucks with local parts is far faster and cheaper than trying to import individual spares from overseas suppliers.
Absolutely, especially if the chassis, electronics and gearbox are in good shape. ECX vehicles share some components across the range, and common wear items like wheels, shock parts and driveline pieces are still available. Replacing a tired set of tyres, refreshing shock oil and swapping worn plastic parts can make an older AMP, Ruckus or Torment feel surprisingly fresh. For anyone wanting an inexpensive backyard basher or a loaner for friends, keeping an existing ECX truck alive is a sensible budget move.
