What are the best model kits for adults?
Tamiya, Takom, Revell and Airfix all make kits adults love. Tamiya is known for top-notch engineering and clear instructions. If you're starting out, try a 1/72 aircraft or a 1/35 tank — they're forgiving and look great when finished.
What tools do I need to start?
At minimum: a hobby knife, side cutters, fine sandpaper and plastic cement. A cutting mat and small files help too. You can build a basic kit with just these. Paints and brushes are optional but make a huge difference to the final result.
What does the scale mean?
Scale is the size relative to the real thing. 1/72 is small (an aircraft fits in your hand). 1/48 is medium. 1/35 is the standard for tanks. 1/24 is common for cars. Bigger scale = more detail but higher cost and build time.
