Academy 1/24 Kia Brisa Scaled Plastic Model Kit
Academy 1/24 scale plastic model kit of the Kia Brisa — recreating a landmark Korean passenger car from 1974–1981.
From October 1974 to 1981, Kia Motors produced a pickup version of the second-generation Familia under the name "Kia Brisa" at their inaugural integrated automobile facility, the Sohari Plant in Gwangmyeong, South Korea. Production began in 1973 with the Brisa B-1000 pickup truck; the passenger car version, the "Brisa S-1000", followed later.
The original Brisa featured a distinct front end compared to the original Familia, initially incorporating twin headlights that were later replaced with single headlights. In total, 31,017 Brisa passenger cars were manufactured. Including pickups, total production reached 75,987 units, with 1,526 exported. Kia's first exports were 31 Brisa B-1000 pickups shipped to Qatar in 1975. The Brisa and its pickup variant called the "Master" were also exported to Colombia and Greece.
