Description
The North American P-51D Mustang, a legendary American fighter aircraft, is renowned for its performance and crucial role in World War II. Powered by the mighty Packard V12 engine (a licensed version of the Rolls-Royce Merlin), this iconic plane could reach speeds of over 430 mph (700 km/h) and was armed with six .50 calibre machine guns. Its extended range allowed it to escort bombers on long-range missions over Europe, turning the tide of the air war.
This 1/24 scale model kit by Airfix allows you to recreate the P-51D Mustang in meticulous detail. Intermediate modellers can enjoy a rewarding build and choose from two historically accurate decal schemes.
