Description

The North American P-51 Mustang is one of the most iconic American fighters of the Second World War. The P-51D model, with its powerful Rolls Royce Merlin engine and bubble canopy, had the long range and excellent firepower to become a superb escort fighter, protecting bombers all the way to Berlin and back. It is recorded as being the top-scoring Allied fighter of the war.

This 1/48 scale kit from Airfix is a detailed replica of this legendary aircraft. It features finely engraved panel lines, a detailed cockpit with a pilot figure, and optional underwing drop tanks. The kit includes two different marking options for famous aircraft from the 8th Air Force: Major Edward Giller's 'The Millie G' and Lt. John Casey's 'Frisco Kid'.
