While it faced challenges from the RAF during the Battle of Britain, the Bf 110 later showcased its capabilities as a long-range fighter-bomber and ground support aircraft. It operated extensively over the vast territories of Russia and in regions spanning the Mediterranean and North Africa, serving throughout the remainder of the Second World War.
