Overview

The Messerschmitt Me 262 was a true revolution in aviation, becoming the world's first operational jet-powered fighter. Entering service late in the Second World War, its incredible speed gave it a significant advantage over even the most advanced Allied piston-engined fighters. Armed with powerful nose-mounted cannons and sometimes supplemented with R4M air-to-air rockets, it was a deadly bomber interceptor in the skies over Germany.

This 1/72 scale Airfix model kit allows you to build a replica of this groundbreaking aircraft. The kit includes parts to build either the A-1a interceptor variant or the A-2a fighter-bomber version, complete with optional bombs or rocket packs. With 65 parts and two decal schemes for famous late-war aircraft, this kit is a fantastic tribute to a legend of the jet age.
