The FMS FCX18 II LC80 shrinks an officially licensed Toyota Land Cruiser 80 down to a compact 1/18 scale RC Rock Crawler, ready to take on backyard rocks, roots and garden beds straight out of the box.
The included 7.4V 900mAh 2S LiPo gives up to a 60 minute run time, so you get long afternoons on the trail between charges. The FS-MG44 transmitter and a USB charger come in the box too, so all you add is four AAA batteries for the transmitter. The Land Cruiser body sits on the second-generation low centre of gravity chassis and rolls on licensed NOMAD wheels with grippy BFGoodrich KO3 tyres. The 80 metre radio range gives you plenty of room to explore.
A smooth 180 brushed motor and an integrated 2-in-1 ESC and receiver give gentle, predictable throttle control. The two-speed transmission switches between a low gear for steep climbs and a high gear for trail runs. Tough metal chassis rails, links, gears, bearings and shocks work with solid axles that flex over rocks and roots, and a 60 degree approach angle lets it walk straight up obstacles. The scale detail is sharp, from the snorkel, roof rack, wipers and side steps to the hollow front grille and the moulded interior with its steering wheel, and the full-size spare tyre works. The multi-mode lighting system runs the headlights, turn signals and reverse lights together. The magnetic body lifts off in seconds for battery swaps, and there's a big range of upgrade parts so the truck can grow with you.
