Overview

The Leopard 1 tank formed the backbone of armoured units for West Germany and several other NATO countries throughout the Cold War. Entering service in the mid-1960s, its primary role was to counter the immense number of tanks fielded by the Warsaw Pact. The A5 version represented a significant improvement on the original design, incorporating a modified turret that housed new computerised fire control systems. It was also fitted with additional composite polycarbonate armour, which substantially increased its protection against modern anti-tank threats.

This 1/35 scale kit from Italeri allows you to build a detailed model of the modernised Leopard 1 A5. Featuring several marking options and modeller-friendly features, it's a fantastic project for any enthusiast of Cold War and modern NATO military vehicles.
